A Prayer For Times When You Can't Start Over

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for these moments we spend together.
I have lost all the things I own.
I have lost people.
I have lost many ties and threads to my life.
Worst of all I cannot see how I can start over again.
So in your wisdom, grace, and love, help me start over again.
Things are so grim for me I do not know where to start or even where to start looking.
In my mind, I can see you standing next to me.
In my mind, I can hear your encouraging words.
In my mind, I can reach out and touch the hem of your garment and find my healing.
In you and in your love, I can see and live in a new day of spiritual prosperity.
In you and in your love, I can see others who need you and who need me to shine your light of love into their lives.
Yes, Lord Jesus.
Help me to lift up others even when I cannot lift myself.
Help me to show others the way I cannot go.
Help me to give others ways of living even when those ways now seem impossible to me.
For in you, all is not lost.
In you, we are all found sheep being held in the arms of the Great Shepherd.
In you, every day is a new day of hope, trust, obedience, and living according to your will.
In you, starting over is not so difficult.
For in you, everything is new again.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
