A Prayer For A Time When You Have No Life
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I am not joking, Lord.
My life is shot.
O.K., I know my life is not totally shot but it sure seems that way.
Everything I put my hand to crumbles.
I make mistakes at every turn.
I have no money.
I have relationships but they are in chaos.
My family has hardships with no way out.
I am living but I have no life.
I have no control over my circumstances so I cannot change them.
However, after saying these things to you, I know better.
I know I can control myself in any circumstance.
I know my life is not really shot.
I know not everything I touch crumbles.
I know even when I make mistakes, I still gain wisdom if I do not repeat
these mistakes.
I know I can find solutions, through you, to problems and difficulties.
I know I can add parts to my life to enrich me and help me be more of your
child.
I know I can add new truths and new vision to my life.
I know my life may seem empty but the container of my life can be filled
by your love and your spirit.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
