A Prayer For Wisdom And Openness

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, Awesome God,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
Precious Lord,
Wonderful Savior,
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Let the grey in my hair and the wrinkles on my face be a sign of your wisdom and not just a sign of my age.
Let the age of my bones not bring pessimism, but bring the hope of youth.
Let the nearness of my grave give me a renewed passion for living.
Let the nearness of the hour of my seeing you face to face bring me an enthusiasm for living now on this earth.
As the days, weeks, and years roll by, let my heart, mind, and soul be more open to you every hour.
As I open my heart to your love, if it is your will, may your love abound within me in full measure.
As I age and as my heart grows more tender from your touch, let me no longer just see myself in the mirror.
Let me see the teeming millions who do not know you, who are lost in life, and who live aimless and hopeless lives.
Let me change daily into your humble child and servant.
Let the distractions of my life never take me away from your influence in my heart and life.
As I age, let me see the unfilled wants, needs, and desires of those around me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
