And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;" About Job’s classic statement of faith Job made a classic statement of faith when everything in his life had been destroyed and everyone had died. All his pain and suffering had been put upon him at the hands of Satan. However, Job did not know the source of the pain and suffering. Job just had faith in our super-good God. He believed God was alive, and good, and was looking out for him. Job had faith God was not the person who delivered the blows but instead God was the person who would redeem him and restore him. Job could look over the horizon into the future and see Christ and see himself viewing God. Job said all this at a moment of tremendous devastation and trauma in Job's life. You can have Job’s faith if you want it. You can have Job's faith right now. You can depend upon the faith Job possessed because Job’s faith is fact. |
