A Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About denying a family was troubled, repressed or dysfunctional.. John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (NIV) We all want a great life. We want a great family life full of love, kindness, forgiveness, and sharing. No matter what our life is like now or what our life was like in the past, we must face the truth, know the truth, and tell the truth. To live in denial about family problems or issues, whether past or present, does not glorify God. To live in denial about any matter only glorifies the darkness wanting to destroy us. If we live in the truth about our family issues, past or present, we can begin to take action on those issues. If we live in the truth, God will bless us and keep us under His protective wing. If we live in the truth, even in the hurtful truth, we can build a life and build a family more like the family God wants us to have. Many families have issues. To make sure those issues are not passed on to generations in the future, we must be truthful and prayerfully seek out the help of experts. God knows about trouble. Christ knows all about the trouble we face. What we must remember is how much Christ wants us to live in freedom from the enslavement of our family troubles, repression, and dysfunction. |
