A Daily Devotional About
exerting yourself toward serving Christ and Him only… John
12:26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.
My Father will honor the one who serves me. (NIV) To
the last breathe… To
the last ounce of life in us… We
are supposed to serve Christ and Him only. We are to give Christ our all, even giving our life if necessary. We are supposed to suffer, if necessary, in our service to our Lord. We are supposed to push ourselves beyond our limits, if necessary, in our service to our Lord. We are supposed to serve our Lord even if we suffer. Even when we worry, even when we doubt, even when we feel lost, even when we feel alone, even when we are at our wits end…we are still supposed to serve our Lord. There is no excuse on earth good enough to not serve Christ. There is no circumstance and no qualifier good enough to ever be put first before serving our Lord. When we put our circumstances, our excuses, and our qualifiers in front of our service for Christ, we give Satan a chance to give us an out, an excuse, even a good sounding reason not to serve Christ. However, there is no reason not to serve Him. Not even the prospect of our death must keep us from giving all we are to Him. |
