About heaven compared to earth…

Psalm 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (NIV)

Think for a moment. What do you have? You have things of many types. A person born 100 years ago would be astonished at the things you have. You also have thoughts. As do all human beings, you have capabilities of thought to praise God in ways to make Him smile. You have people. Survey all the blessings of God in your life. Now take all you have, and using your imagination, add to all you have now all you could ever possess in the world in the future. Compare all you have now with all you could possibly have on this earth. Now, compare all you could have on earth to all you could have in heaven. You could own the whole world, but compared to heaven, even the whole world does not compare. In heaven you find both the blessings of God and God Himself. In heaven, you find Jesus Christ who will be with you for eternity.
