A Daily Devotional About Jesus compassion Mark 6:34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. We are fallible. We make mistakes. We fall down and sometimes we have a difficult time getting back up. We get lost because we are surrounded by so many trees we cannot see the lay of the land inside the forest. Even if we stay inside our cocoons and are afraid to venture out we still can get lost in our fear and anxiety. No matter how invincible we might think we are, eventually we become like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus is portrayed many ways to us in the New Testament. In the verse above, He is shown to us to be a teacher with great compassion upon us. Jesus not only has great compassion for us, He also wants us to learn from Him. In everyday life, this means we should learn from the Bible and apply the Word's truth. If we are open and trusting, we can learn His ways and receive His blessings. |
