A Daily Devotional About our transformation through holiness… Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to
the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and
perfect will. (NIV) The glitter of the world
makes the world a captivating place…until the darkness overtakes you. On the
surface, the glitter of the world is attractive until the glitter turns to an
evil emptiness. When the glitter fades away and you see the result of living
life based only upon the values of the world, you need God. When the attractions
of the world fade away, you need God more than ever. When you are caught in the
grip of your own wants and needs, the claws of Satan squeeze the life out of
you. When Satan squeezes the life out of you, you are empty and need God's
power. To counteract the power of Satan, remember your mind is transformed by
Christ as you sacrifice your ideas of worldly success in favor of His ideas of
humility and contrition. Your mind is transformed as you sacrifice yourself to
resist the temptations of sin, greed, and ego. |
