A Daily Devotional About our vision through hope Acts 23:6 Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, "My brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee. I stand on trial because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead." Paul was on trial before the Sanhedrin and he was testifying on his own behalf. He was testifying about his hope when our bodies die, we have a chance to spiritually live forever. Hope is such a wonderful fuel for the soul. Hope is the fuel enlivening our imaginations and stirring our hearts. Hope motivates us and gives us visions. This hope in Christ gives us courage to risk our life with calm, inspired hearts, and a vision of heaven and eternity. Too many of us look at our life and see a time when we will die, yet our hope in Christ should give us a vision into the future of our life which has no end with Christ. Our hope in Christ gives us a vision of eternal glory with no ending. Instead of death we look forward to our day of glorious transformation. |
