A Daily Devotional About the permanent nature of God’s spiritual truth… Matthew 5:18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. (NIV) There are different kinds of truth. There is scientific truth, political truth, social truth, spiritual and/or religious truth, and personal truth just to name a few. In science, what we thought was true yesterday may turn out to be not true today. What we thought we understood yesterday turns out to be full of mystery and wonder today. In science, the truth gets larger every day as we explore and do research. In the spiritual or religious world, the truth remains the same or continues to be reaffirmed down through the ages. In the spiritual realms, God is love, Christ is the Son who came to earth to give us a chance at eternal life, and the Holy Spirit is the essence of God who lives in us and around us. Even if our world is turned upside down, these spiritual truths will never change. |
