A Daily Devotional About praying in the noise… Acts 16:13 On the Sabbath
we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of
prayer. Getting away from the noise in life is sometimes hard to do. We cannot always go away from the city to a quiet place in the country. We cannot always go away from the noisy distractions of life when we have to work and live in the distractions. Whether there is noise or not, the Lord wants us to spend time each day in prayer. Prayer is vital to our spiritual health. Prayer is even more vital to the people for whom we pray, even when they do not know we pray for them. Every second we pray, every second we think about Christ, about God, and about the Holy Spirit, is a second magnified in supernatural ways. Even in the noise, every second we pray is a second producing an infinite amount of love around the life of the people we pray for each day. When we cannot get away from the noise, we must still try to be in an attitude of praying and praising God. In your life, you can pray and be in a prayerful state in every circumstance. In every circumstance, you can trust and believe. In every circumstance, you can take the burdens of others up to our Lord. |
