A Daily Devotional
About the right kind of people: Matthew 9:2 Some men brought to him a
paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic,
"Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven." (NIV) Life requires a mixture of
many attributes we must possess to be successful. One of our attributes for
success is surrounding ourselves with the right kind of people. The kind of
people we bring into our life makes a big difference in how easy or difficult
our life is lived each day. In the above verse, where the paralytic was healed,
Jesus first noticed the faith of the paralytic's friends. In this case, the
faith of friends caused Jesus to act. In your life, the faith of your friends
causes Jesus to act just as surely as He acted two thousand years ago. In a
world full of sin and darkness, you also must remember to be a friend of faith
to others. You will find in your relationships it is far more important to be a friendto be a friend of faith,
than it is to want a friend. You could be the friend of faith for another person
like one of the paralytic's friends. |
