A Daily Devotional About the big test: 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? 6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. 7 Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. (NIV The big test of our life is not an exam we take in school or at work. The big test we take in our life is our daily response to our physical nature. Our body suffers physical pain and hurt in addition to physical temptations put upon us by Satan. The Bible calls our physical nature the flesh. We battle our physical nature. We can battle every hour against the flesh. Our physical nature is our weakness and Satan exploits our weakness. Our big test in life is how we handle Satan's attacks against our physical nature. Our big test is how we handle the physical pain and suffering of our life. Our big test is how we handle physical temptations. With God's help, in prayer, fasting, and meditation, you can pass every single test put upon you. As you commit yourself to learn and grow each day, you can learn more about how to do more and be more in spite of the tests of satanic attacks. |
