About when we suffer injustice
James 5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are
crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord
Almighty. (NIV) We all suffer injustice. We suffer little slights and from cutting remarks to blatant
discrimination. When we suffer injustice, we are to be Christ-like. Christ became angry at
the money changers in the temple because they were stealing and taking advantage of
others. Yet when the ultimate injustice came in the form of the Cross, He spoke few words
and suffered as a lamb led to the slaughter. When you suffer injustice, pray you can
be Christ-like. Pray Christ will guide you in what to do and what to say. There is a
time for righteous indignation and anger at injustice. There is also a time for
you to be silent
when injustice is brought against you. |
