A Daily Devotional About who you can become… 1 John 3:2 Dear friends, now we are
children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know
that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (NIV) Who or what someone thinks
about you should not be important to you. In contrast, the person you can become through Christ
should be the most important part of your thinking. Christ does not just see
your unlimited potential or what could be
your very best. Christ wants your unlimited potential to become your reality.
Christ sees your potential and sees your ultimate worth, even when you do not
see you potential or worth.
Too often, we do not see our ultimate potential and value. Sin takes away your
potential to be all of who God made you to be. Sin takes away all of what you
can become. Most of us do not see how incredibly important we are to God. Most
of us do not see what God needs from us because we are caught up in our selfish
ambitions, wants, and needs. Christ sees you in ways you cannot. Christ looks at
you and sees beyond the sin of your past and present. Your worth to God is
realized only when you turn away from the sin taking all of persons down. |
