About a sensitive heart:

Acts 28:27 For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' (NIV)

The essence of life is measured from within your heart. Your happiness or unhappiness is determined by what you feel inside. To experience the full measure of life, to experience the full joy and happiness poured into your heart by Christ, you must open up your heart. You can close off your heart when you are hurt, but when you close the door of your heart the hurt remains inside of you. By opening up the door of your heart you permit the Holy Spirit to touch you and heal you from the pain you feel. Keeping the door of your heart open brings a healing end to the hurt you feel.
