About worry..

Matt 6:31 (RSV) "Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, What shall we wear?"

Worry eats people. Worry is like a consuming disease of the heart and mind. However, worry is a part of your life you can control. Embedded in the Master's words is wisdom about what you can do with your thoughts. Jesus advises you to not think about what you will eat or drink or wear. He clearly implies you can control your mind. You can control your thoughts. You can control what you hold in your heart. When you realize you are in control of your thinking process you take charge of your life. No matter how difficult your life might be now or in the future, you can always be in charge of your mind and heart. God did not create you to be a mindless robot. God created you in His own image hoping you would decide to glorify Him in the decisions you make and by the thoughts your think. You glorify God by choosing to hold the love and grace of God in your heart. You can choose to think thoughts of glory. You can choose to think thoughts of heaven. You can choose to think about the things of God. And, with these thoughts comes a peace which cancels out all worry.
