About what you do after you achieve victory:

Genesis 49:22 "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall. 23 With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility. 24 But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, 25 because of your father's God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above,�(NIV)

If you win, if you defeat an opponent, if you overcome adversity, do you praise God or wrap yourself in selfishness? In victory, do you see who really brings the blessings of victory in your life or do you give yourself credit? Winning can inflate your ego and build up your selfishness. Winning can kill humility.

The Lord supplies all of us with abundant resources to do His will in every circumstance. The Lord gives us the ability to win out over incredible odds. When we win out, instead of giving ourselves credit or relishing the power we have, we need to come to our Lord on our knees in contrite humility. When we win, we must look to our Lord who gives us our abilities, our opportunities, and our resources. All blessings and victories flow from God, not from us.
