About the armor of God in the spiritual war:

Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (NIV)

There is in us and in the world today a spiritual war going on all the time. The spiritual war in us is not only between good and evil but also between the power of God and the power of Satan. In this spiritual war you can get injured. To prevent injury you are to put on the full armor of God. The spiritual war is waged inside your heart and soul as well as inside the heart and soul of every person on earth. For many people, Satan wins. For others, Christ wins. You can determine who wins the spiritual war within you and to some extent, who wins the spiritual war in others.

Until Christ came to earth there was little hope any of us could win the battle in our heart and soul being waged between God and Satan. However, Christ was a spiritual being. Christ was God in human form. Christ came into the world so we can all be ultimate winners and win our own personal victory in the spiritual war raging within us.
