A Daily Devotional
This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply.
About becoming a workaholic:
Exodus 34:21 "Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest. (NIV)
Work is the way of the world. Many people love to work. Keeping busy and active is a positive way of staying healthy in mind and body. Without work, no progress can be made in any endeavor. However, to work night and day in order to escape from solvable issues or problems is not healthy. When you overwork to run away from solvable issues in your life, you can destroy yourself, your relationships, and others. All of us need time to rest. The Lord gave us a day to rest because He knows too much work would hinder the progress and development of the human race. Instead of being a workaholic to remedy solvable issues, work to spend more time in the presence of God. The love of God helps solve more problems than any kind of work could ever solve.
