A Daily Devotional
This Devotional Is From A Special Series Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply.
About believing other people could not possibly like you or love you
Ecclesiastes 4:10 If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! (NIV)
If you believe you are not likable or lovable then you won't be likable or loveable. Besides, the focus of your life and heart must not be upon you. The focus of your life must be upon doing the will of God, not whether other people like you or love you. Believing other people could not possibly like you or love you is a belief born in the darkness. This belief is a form of utter selfishness. This belief can ruin your life because you make yourself unlikable and unlovable. This belief is a form of self-pity seeking a pity party. What is important is not whether other people like you or love you but whether you like or love others. If you do not like or love others, when you fall then no one will be there to help you up.
