A Christmas Daily Devotional

About God's silence on Christmas:

The Story Of Our Lord's Birth

Our beloved hymn "Silent Night" touches millions of hearts each Christmas season. Of all the times when we want God to speak, His silence in His love often serves as one of defining moments in life. In His silence, His love moves through us, giving us sustenance and power unlike any power on earth. In the quiet of our heart, we hear Him tell us how much He loves us. In the quiet of our heart, we can hear Him tell us how He forgives us of our every sin. His voice on Christmas or on any other day of the year gives us victory over the all-pervasive darkness wanting to tear us down and destroy us. Christ's voice speaking in the silence of our heart is the same voice Joseph and Mary heard when the baby Jesus first cried out from His manger.
