A Christmas Daily Devotional

About the stars of the heavens where angels sail

The Story Of Our Lord's Birth

From the starry heavens the angels rang out the news about the birth of Jesus. Just as there are infinite stars in the Lord's heavenly sky, the Lord possesses infinite love for each of us. The work of God's hands formed all the stars, galaxies, and planets of our creation. The work of God's hands also formed our Lord Jesus, and formed each of us. God's hand and love is in all things. God brought Jesus to earth to give all of us a chance to sail upward into the heavens where angels sail. We shall sail into the Lord's heaven where we shall see not just angels, but many amazing heavenly sights. We cannot touch the stars in the heavens, but our Lord reaches down to touch us. In this Christmas season, when our mind is drawn from one thought to the next, let us think more about how love came down from heaven and appeared as a tiny babe in the straw.
