A Christmas Daily Devotional
About the tiny voice of baby Jesus
The tiny voice of Jesus in our heart rarely booms like thunder. The voice of Jesus does not often grab the attention of the masses of the world. The voice of Jesus comes to us in sometimes barely perceptible ways. On Christmas, we are reminded about the power of Christ's humble beginnings. Christ's humble beginnings defy the belief of the proud. The story of Christ's birth defies the imagination of those who doubt. The voice of Christ as a new born or as He who lives in heaven, requires a clean and submissive heart within a person who truly loves Him. From the way the world works and behaves, one might think the voice of Christ has gone silent. Jesus normally speaks to us only in a tiny and seemingly insignificant way. So small is the voice of Jesus, we often do not hear Him, even on Christmas or during the Christmas season. To hear His voice, we must understand how God seldom speaks to us in a human language. At Christmastime, or any other time, when we want to hear God, we must be willing to listen to Him speak to us within our heart in His language rather than in our language. We must remember His voice comes to us only when we are willing to listen in humility with a heart full of adoration.
