A Christmas Daily Devotional

About a day to forget?

The Story Of Our Lord's Birth

What if we forgot? What if we lost interest in Christmas? What if our celebration of Christmas gradually declined so in a period of years, most people just forgot about Christmas and the meaning of the Lord's birth? What if people still celebrated the holiday but forgot about Christ? Well, forgetting about Christ is already happening. However, because Christ will not forsake us, we must not forget the day of His birth. We must not forget why we give gifts and donate our time for our Lord's birthday celebration. We must remember to be reverent, holy, godly, and devout as we near the time of we celebrate His birth. Our cares, troubles, worries, and vexations do not disappear around Christmas. However, we love Christ because we know in the days ahead we will go to a place where He will be with us. In this place where He will be with us, our cares, troubles, worries, and vexations disappear..forever. Jesus came to us as a human baby to draw us closer to Him. The secular world cannot smother out the enormous size of Christmas, even if the world still does not want to call Him Lord of all the earth. Let us remember, Christ Jesus was the most wonderful and cherished Christmas gift of all. Against every evil, Christmas is celebrated around the world because of God's power of love.
