About Christmas and the cross:

The Story Of Our Lord's Birth

On the first Christmas, God became visible. Until Jesus came into the world, we had not seen Him. When Jesus came to earth, we were able to touch Him, to listen to Him, and to see Him as a human being. Christ became a tangible gift to us�a gift from God. Yet, our sin overcame us and we murdered the most innocent of innocents. Some persons would not want to speak about Christmas and the Cross at the same time. However, we must never, ever, forget what we did as a human race and as individuals to the greatest gift God has ever given to humanity. What we did was murder. We murdered the only Son of God! How despicable of us! Yet, although we murdered Him, He does not despise us. Even though we murdered Him, He loves us still. Even though we murdered Him, He loves us and brings to our mind thoughts of the wonders of His birth. What magnificence we find in God the Father, in Christ the Son, and in the Holy Spirit! Let us reflect each day how we can best love Him back because He first loved us. Let us determine to think of Him every hour, not just in the hours leading up to Christmas.
