A Christmas Daily Devotional

The same gentleness, the same softness, the same innocence, and the same purity are just as alive and real today as they were on the day of our Lord's birth. These qualities of our Lord Jesus are unchanging. No matter what we do or what happens in our world, Christ maintains His gentleness in the face of a world gone mad in chaotic selfishness. He maintains the same softness today we would have found in His manger. He maintains His softness in the face of a hard and brutal world because Christ wants us to be a part of His soft love and tenderness. He is as innocent today as He was in the manger. His innocence calls us to be holy, godly, and devout in all our life endeavors. Christ has today the same purity He had at His birth for He was without sin. He still calls each of us to strive to be without sin by battling against the dark temptations of our soul. What happened on the day of our Lord's birth resounds across the ages because not only did His physical body come back to life in the tomb, His very persona came back to life with the same gentleness, the same softness, the same innocence, and the same purity He possessed on the day He was born..unchanged then, unchanged now, unchanged forever.
