A Christmas Daily Devotional
About a great disturbance:
Matthew 2:3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
Two thousand years ago there was no television, no radio, nor any other form of electronic communication. News was generally communicated by word of mouth or letter. A great disturbance arose in the society of Jerusalem at the news a king of the Jews had been born. The great disturbance in Jerusalem would soon be followed by the slaughter of innocent babies in an attempt to kill the infant Jesus. Christ still causes a great disturbance in the world. Christ causes a great disturbance in the world in the life of people. A great disturbance is caused in the world and in the life of people because the darkness and evil of the world is still disturbed by the light and love of God. In your own life, when you have Christ alive and living within you, then your heart, your mind, and your soul are disturbed when evil clashes with the goodness of Christ. We like to think of Christmas as a time of peace on earth. However, when Christ was born the peace of His manger scene stands in sharp contrast to the conniving and lying of King Herod. In your personal life, the conniving and lying of Satan will surely come against you as you seek to worship and live for Christ. However, the more you pour your heart into the love God has for you each moment, the more God pours His love into you.For A Fast, Complete Search Of
