About Christ's gift of peace:

Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." (NIV)

During the Christmas season, worry can often filter into your heart and life. However, because Christ was born, you have Him within you bringing you peace to subdue all your worries and fears. Although we cannot easily explain how, because Christ was born, your worry can turn into inspiration as you kneel beside His manger. When little things irritate you and you get angry over the stress of the season, think about His birth. Then, when you think about His birth, His peace calms your heart. When you think about His humble beginnings on His first Christmas, His peace brought to earth touches you and makes you whole. At any time of the year, when you get beaten up by life and by all the relationships of your life, His peace bandages up your wounds and brings healing. When your path in life becomes dark and obstacles stop you from going forward, His peace comes upon you and you begin to see through the darkness. Even in the darkness, His light shows you the way, thus bringing peace. When others do things against you or others hurt you, His peace comes into your heart and you can forgive. Praise His name for coming into the world. Praise His name for bringing to all of us His wonderful gift of peace on earth.
