The Story Of Our Lord's Birth

About Christ's gift of power to find God in the here and now:

During the Christmas season, the Christian world and each of us, in whatever way we can, celebrate Christ's birth. During the Christmas season, if you can forget about yourself and focus only on Christ, you will find you feel what many call "The Christmas Spirit." Of all the gifts we have received from others and from Christ during our life, the one gift Christ wants us to have is His gift of finding Him in the here and now. Christ's coming into the world was a clear message and a real world demonstration we are not alone in the world. Christmas can be a terrible time of loneliness for many. However, you are never alone. God is not in some remote place. God is right here, right now. When you gaze upon Christ's manger scene, remember His birth was real in our real world. His birth was not a fantasy. His birth was not a story made up by producers in Hollywood. His birth was the real deal for all time. Christ wants you to know His birth can be just as real for you now as His birth was for Mary and Joseph two thousand years ago. There is about God an aspect of timelessness. Christ is ageless and timeless. In giving Christ your heart and life, in effect, you erase time. When you think about Him being born in the manger, time stops. Then, when you think about Him being in the manger, you can be there whenever your heart desires.
