About Christ's gift of power to find your life:

Matthew 2:6 But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel. (NIV)

Christmas is a time of giving. We celebrate God's great gift of His Son to us by observing Christ's birth. Christ came to earth as a humble shepherd. Christ came giving every one of His flock many great and mighty gifts. Christ is our shepherd and we are but lowly sheep gone astray. Having gone astray, we can lose our life in our problems.

Although you may have problems, you must always remember God created you. He gave you the breath of life. If you let Him, He gives you a reason to live each day. In addition, God gives you a way to find life's purpose and meaning. In spite of hardships, Christ gives you power to find life in the softness of His touch. In spite of obstacles you cannot surmount, Christ gives you the power to find life by glorifying His name no matter the circumstance. In spite of being in circumstances you may not be able to control, Christ gives you the power to find life by defeating even the gravest of adversaries. When you do not think you have a future, Christ gives you life by showing you a future eternal. When are hurt beyond your ability to take the pain, Christ comes in and gives you life by healing you and giving you comfort. When you did not think anyone understood you or cared about you, Christ came and gave you life by being with you in countless ways. All these things taken together means Christ has given you the wonderful gift of power to find your life.
