A Christmas Devotional

About Christ's gift of victory:

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

Every person tastes his or her share of failure in life. Commonly, the more we try, the more we can fail. Most of us have more failures than victories. All of us do battle each day against the darkness. Because we are human and not divine, we fail. However, when Christ was born, victory came to every person on earth who receives Him as Lord and Savior. In Christ, even when we fail at our daily tasks here on earth, we have His victoryHis victory of life eternal. When we see images of Christ resting in a manger, we should all be reminded we are given Christ's victory so we will in turn give His victory away to others. In victory, Christ came into the world to lift your heart up to heaven in His love. In victory, Christ came into the world to lift your heart up to heaven in His grace. In victory, Christ came to lift your heart up into His power to succeed against all odds.
