About the spirit of giving…

Matthew 1:18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. (NIV)

God works in mysterious, dramatic, or hidden ways. Not only did He work in mysterious and dramatic ways in the Virgin Mary’s life, but God can also, through the Holy Spirit, work in your life as well. The season of Christmas generally brings out the best part of our character. The season calls for our giving of gifts, sending cards to friends and family, decorating, and celebrating in many ways. The Christmas spirit is the spirit of love manifested around the world. The foundation of the Christmas spirit is the spirit of giving infecting so many us. Today, let the spirit of giving infect you and keep the Lord's spirit of giving alive within you every day of the year by prayer, study, meditation, and a commitment to Christ’s teachings.
