About why Jesus was born:

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (KJV)

Christ was born for you. However, just being born into the world was not enough for our Lord. Why He was born for you is the most dramatic of truths. Jesus was born for you so you would have hope to live forever. Christ was born so you would have a grand and wonderful vision of the future. Without Christ in your life, you would have a dark and limited future. However, because Christ was born, you have infinity waiting for you in Heaven. Jesus was born for you so when the troubles of this world seem to pile up and you feel helpless, you could say a little prayer and find His power. Jesus was born for you so, in an instant, you would have the power to keep going and keep moving to do His work and will. Christ was born unto you so you would have real faith in a real God who does real work in your life. Jesus was born unto you so you would live your life in spiritual abundance rather than living your life steeped in spiritual poverty. Jesus was born unto you so you could turn away from the sinful ways of your life and turn to Him to live a life of holiness and godliness before Him. Jesus was born unto you to save you and give you eternal life.
