About Christ's way as the sure way:

Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (NIV)

Only God's way is the sure way. Only God's way leads to glory and immortality. We have our own plans and goals. We have our own ideas about where we should go and what we should do. In the tangled mysteries of life, we tell ourselves our plans are godly even when we know they are not godly. We tell ourselves we are doing God's will, even when know we are doing our own will. Certainly, we cannot always fully know what God's will is for us on a second by second basis. However, we can know God's will for us when we come to deal with other persons, when we come to deal with Him, and when we are confronted with sin and corruption. We can know God's will when we are confronted with temptation. We can know what God wants us to do when we see the pain, suffering, and hurt of life. We know we are to reach out and touch the hurting, help mend the broken, and support with prayer all those who need Him most.
