A Daily Devotional
About daily worship in a time of doubt about God:
Leviticus 19:30 'Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.' (NIV)
The powers of darkness want you to doubt. The power of God in His light and love want you to believe and to trust. You would think if someone had doubts about God then worship would be the last thing a person would do or should do. However, the very opposite is true. When you are full of doubt or when you are plagued even by a little doubt, go to God in worship. Rest next to God and listen to His small voice within your heart telling you He is with you no matter what happens. If there is one person you should always talk to about your doubts, the person you should talk to is God. Everyone can be plagued by doubts at some point. For the sake of your faith, you to be honest and confront your doubt in the presence of God. What is vitally important is for you to do battle against your doubts in a time when you may be struggling mightily to have faith in God. Your faith is increased and restored not by letting doubt eat away at you, but by your letting God touch your heart and soul with His presence and with His love, especially in your time of worship. God rewards you when you fight against doubt. God rewards you when you fight against doubt by showing Him you love Him in your worship. When you worship God, even in a time of your doubt, you have a chance to be honest. In addition, worshiping in your doubt in honesty will set you free of your doubts. God will, when you worship, even in your doubt, help you let go of your present darkness as you come to live His life of certain and absolute faith.
Can
you take a little time each day for God, for prayer, for meditation, for
reflection, and for giving thanks?
Can you take a little time each day for a little daily worship even when you doubt?
