About finding God in the storm:

2 Samuel 22:5 "The waves of death swirled about me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. 6 The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. 7 In my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. From his temple, he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears. (NIV)

Storms in life rage about us. There are times in life when we are caught in a terrible storm of circumstances beyond our control. In these moments we desperately need the touch of the Lord's hand. Storms sometimes rage about us with such fury we get lost. In the storms, the wind blows about us, and we cannot even see the sky for the storms have brought deep darkness upon us. In our storms, all can appear lost. When the storms rage, we may look around us and see we have already suffered great loss. We may see everything is about to be torn asunder and plunged into the depths. In these times of deep darkness there is a mighty God reaching down to touch us. Our mighty God is a God reaching down to rescue us from the fury of every storm. Our God is so strong and mighty He can even rescue us from the storm of death if we are willing to accept His Son as Savior and Lord.
