About finding God…

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

In some respects, finding God ought to be easy. We can turn on our televisions and get the news from around the world, as it happens. We can get information, facts, and data about all sorts of events in the present as well as in the past. We can get education and training from innumerable sources. So finding God ought to be easy. However, finding God is not easy because finding God requires work of the heart. In addition, when we search for Him we must not use half of our heart, we must use all of it. Finding God is not easy because God requires we cast off the sin and darkness with which we were born. God requires us to burn up parts of our life residing in the past. God requires we throw away or yield up to Him, our whole self, our whole life, and our whole being. However, if we seek Him and are truly willing to do what He asks of us to do, He will not fail us for He will always be with us. He will always let us find Him because He has always loved us and He will always love us in the future.
