About getting strong feelings of failure when other people fail�

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. (NIV)

To be understanding is admirable and godly. To feel what other people feel is also admirable and godly. However, when other people fail, we must not fall into a pit of feeling failure with them. When other people fail, they need a stronger person to lead them to a time of success. If you or others fall into a pit of feeling like a failure when others fail, you have weakened yourself and you will not be a person of strength for others. We must learn to be strong within ourselves with regard for what is happening to others. We must learn to live and be strong in a mighty and independent way, while still understanding how others feel. When we are the one who fails, we need someone to understand, but we also need someone who encourages us and gives us hope.
