Our human ability to reason and think has produced a technological revolution unparalleled in all of recorded history. Our human ability to reason and think has also brought us war, violence, and unprecedented danger by bringing us to the brink of nuclear annihilation. Our human ability to reason can often cloud our view of God. Our ability to reason can often keep the truth about God away from our consciousness. One of the truths about God we find difficult to fathom is how much God accepts us. On a personal level, as dark and terrible as your life can become, God still has a place waiting for you if you will reject the darkness within you. As evil as you can become, God still accepts you as you turn toward Him and away from the evil. Your human reason may tell you to throw away the souls of those persons who do terrible things to others. However, in God's acceptance of you, God accepts you even if you do the same terrible things others do. God accepts you and wraps His arms around you, even when you cannot accept yourself. God accepts you regardless of the mistakes you have made. God accepts you regardless of the sins you have committed. When you are not accepted by others, God stands next to you already accepting you. When others reject you because of who you are, how you are, or what you have done, God accepts you and totally wraps you in His love. God stands ready to heal your wounds and erase your scars in His mighty power of acceptance. With God, you are never rejected. With God, you are accepted forever if you accept Him and accept His Son into your heart and life. With God, you are accepted beyond reason.
