About God's freedom from darkness:

Galatians 4:3 So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. (NIV)

We live in a world where we have no choice about whether there is darkness in our life. We live in a world where darkness comes into our life without our asking, without our consent, without our permission, and often without our knowledge. What are we to do when we are attacked by the darkness? What are we to do when darkness comes into our life and our life is torn apart? When we are attacked by the darkness we are to place all we are in God's hands full of Light. When we are ravaged by the darkness, we are to put all we have in God's hands where we are never ravaged. In the hands of God there is no darkness. In the hands of God there is always hope for a time eternal where we will live in Light and Love without any darkness. In God's hands, we can always find freedom from the attacking darkness. In God's hands, we can always find rest and freedom from the battles of life.
