A Daily Devotional

Our life is full of distractions. We are pulled in different directions by our worries, our wants, our needs, and our hopes. Our physical nature pushes and pulls us because our body suffers from all of its aches, pains, and temptations. In seeking to know more about God and in seeking to experience more of God, we must remember God is overwhelming love. God's will for you is for you to open your heart so you are overwhelmed by His love for you. If you were able to take away all the distractions of your life and you could let God touch your life, His love would overwhelm you. However, no matter how much we want a life free of distractions, distractions will always be with us. Certainly, if you open your heart enough, Christ's love will overwhelm all your worries, wants, and needs. If you give Christ a chance, His love will even overwhelm your physical nature. Of all the parts of God's will and desire for you, God's utmost will for you is you should be overwhelmed by His love for you. God's will for you is you should to feel His warmth, His comfort, and His overpowering and surrounding presence of love.
