About God's power waves of silence:

Matthew 26:62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?" 63 But Jesus remained silent. (NIV)

We have the assumption, perhaps an erroneous assumption, God will always speak to us whenever we want. In the hard cold truth of the way God works, we often do what is unpleasing to God. Too often, we may be the kind of person who is unpleasing to God. When we are unpleasing to God, God can be silent. When we are not in God's will, we can receive waves of silence from God. The waves of silence from God carry no message, no inkling, and no indication of what we want to get from God. In nearly every circumstance, when we get only silence from God the silence is caused not by God, but by us. When we get only silence from God, our heart may not be tuned in to receive His other messages because our heart is not tuned in to His will in the beginning. When we receive only silence from God, our heart may be preoccupied with getting only what we want. Waves of silence from God likely mean God is not happy, for if God is happy with us, we know of His unhappiness. In addition, God may send out waves of silence to us because He is angry, giving us His silent treatment hoping we will do only His will so He can then send us His waves of happiness and joy.
