About God's protective hand:

Psalm 41:1 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble. 2 The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes. 3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness. (NIV)

2 Thessalonians 3: 1 Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (NIV)

We all want protection. When the many trials and tribulations of life come at us we want God to help us and protect us. For those of us who seek to always live within the will of God, there is a mighty hand, a mighty force, a mighty power in our life. Even when we are put on trial, even when we are persecuted, even when we are sick, feeble, infirm, or rendered physically helpless, we have a mighty power within us. The evil one lurks about our heart wanting us to fall. Yet, our Lord stands ready to help us withstand the attacks of evil. As we are willing to give our heart to God, God is willing to live within our heart, and be present within us as we show and tell the world about His love.
