About honesty, holiness, and sincerity:

2 Corinthians 1:12 Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God. (NIV)

Nothing reveals the extent of God at work in your life more than honesty. Honesty revealing God's love works in you and honesty shines His love out from your life. Holiness begins with honesty before God, before others, and before yourself as you look in the mirror. Being honest brings on holiness. Honesty maintains holiness. Being honest does not mean you need to be confrontational or hurtful in any way. Honesty is the great insulator keeping the evil of lies away from relationships. Honesty permits the awesome truth of God to prevail in every part of life. Honesty keeps the heart pure and full of the presence of God. The temptations of the world assail the honest heart. However, the prayers of a humble person reduce temptation to nothing. Honesty brings out the purity of your heart. Living in honesty means when you see injustice you want to right the wrongs.
