A Daily Devotional
About if you knew how much God loves you (Part 5 Of 5):
Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. (NIV)
If you knew how much God loves you, you would always apologize for hurting others. You would do all you can to make an apology when you hurt others. When you hurt others, you would apologize without being asked to do so. You would apologize because you saw the error of your ways and because your conscience makes you hurt. The love you have for God is a demanding love. The love you have for God demands you be humble. In your humility, you are to admit your fallibility, your errors, your mistakes, and your weaknesses. Not carrying your humanity to others in a spirit of humility keeps God's love within you and away from others. If you knew how much God loves you, you would forgive others as you seek forgiveness from them. As much as we want to be proud of ourselves, how can we be full of selfish pride when we realize we were the one who nailed Christ to the cross?
