A Daily Devotional

You can have physical pain and suffering in your life but still have heavenly joy. In spite of adversity you can still have a heart of thankfulness. You can have disappointments but have God’s wisdom to guide you in your life. In addition, you can have His love in your heart. You can suffer tragedy and loss yet still have a heart full of God’s presence. In a sense, the closer we are to God, even though we are placed in this life in circumstances we cannot control, the more joyous is our life. Not only do we have present joys regardless of our circumstances, but we know we have eternal joy waiting for us in heaven. Because of the limitless joys of God we can praise His name regardless of our present circumstances.
