About letting others learn to fill their own needs
Luke 10:40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" 41 "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." (NIV)
We must not live in a continual state of monitoring the needs of others in order to fill their needs because we are weak. When we try to fill the needs of others because we are weak we push out the love of God within our heart. Our drive in life should be to do only the will of God. If we continually monitor the needs of others because we are in weakness then we put a roadblock in our heart. This roadblock disables us from living in a continual state of love, praise, and thanksgiving before God. To let another person's needs dominate or drive our life because we are in weakness is the result of our living in darkness.
Our power in life to help others should come from our strength and our willingness to reach out to othersto empower them to fill their own needs..because we are strong in Christ's love, not because we are weak.
