About Light against sin:

Romans 7:13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. (NIV)

Sin is utter darkness, yet sin masquerades as light. Sin makes the sinner believe there is no Light or the Light is a farce. The darkness of sin wants our soul. Sin and sinful people want to possess us, own us, and control us in every way. Our weapon against sin is the blood of Christ. In Christ we have a way to deal with sin. Without Christ, we are helpless against sin. Without Christ, sin will have its way with us as we sink faster and faster into sin's abyss. Christ came to us as the Light of the world. When our soul has been immersed in the darkness of sin, we have a way to find the Light who is Christ. Christ dieing on the Cross in such utter agony, covered with the blood of His torture, sacrificing His all for no selfish reason, seems to be an act of futility in a world steeped in darkness. Yet, Christ's Light can live within you. Christ lives within you because you turned away from sin. Living within you, Christ gives you His eternal love, comfort, compassion, and forgiveness�and the ultimate victory called eternal life.
